The
"area " was named during prohibition times.
A whiskey
distillery had been developed in a cave in the mountain
behind the
property.
Bootleggers were selling their production
and were caught!
The local population conveniently decided to call
this area
"Whiskey Mountain".
Our Home:
Built in
1869, is a 1 1/2 story main house - an old German farmhouse with a
cypress plank exterior, tin roof and a 50 foot porch held up by
huge cedar tree trunks: It's a work of art!
