The "area " was named during prohibition times. A whiskey distillery had been developed in a cave in the mountain behind the property. Bootleggers  were selling their production and were caught! The local population conveniently decided to call this area
 "Whiskey Mountain".

And so... "Whiskey Mountain Inn" was born

Our Home

Built in 1869, our 1 1/2 story main house is an old German farmhouse with a cypress plank exterior, a tin roof and a 50 foot porch held up by huge cedar tree trunks. 

The area is quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. No televisions or phones will bother you.

Watch abundant wildlife... deer, rabbits, raccoons, armadillos, porcupines, and birds galore.

Bring personal belongings, plan to relax on your cabin porch and take in the refreshing Texas Hill Country air and scenery.

All cabins are fully furnished
All cabins provide air conditioning and heat
All linens are provided
Appliances include refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, coffee
    makers and toasters
All cabins have BBQ facilities
We offer 6 cabins to choose from
